Community Involvement

#JHinthecommunity

Serving and supporting the community in which we work is very important to us here at JH. Hear from a handful of team members who share which organizations they volunteer for or of which they participate.

I am a strong believer that we need to support the community that supports us.  I currently hold a board position with Junior Achievement of Northeast IndianaThe Carriage House, and Pine Valley Country Club. I am an active member of Legatus of Fort Wayne. I have had the privilege to have served as a board member for YMCA of Fort Wayne (Metro)Fort Wayne Museum of Art, and Legatus of Fort Wayne.

I am the VP of Communications for Young Leaders of Northeast Indiana (YLNI). I also serve on multiple committees within the organization and lend my time to volunteering in the community. I love connecting with other young professionals in the area and creating opportunities for professional development! If you’re interested in learning more about YLNI, please email me or visit ylni.org

The way I give back is by volunteering my time on the board for Camp Watcha Wanna Do. I have been apart of the board for a year now and I handle all website items. I then attend camp for a day or two to show my support and help out where it is need. Last year we had the opportunity to help hand out lunch to the kids. I'm currently the Vice President of YLNI, a group of 20-40 somethings in NE Indiana that strives to give a voice to the younger demographic in Fort Wayne, present opportunities for leadership growth for the next generations of leaders and to provide a social atmosphere to get connected and included in the NE Indiana Community. In addition, I am a volunteer coach for my boys' various sports teams including baseball, football and basketball through the Lakeland Youth Center.

I am a member of the Greater Fort Wayne Women's Network. I also get my kids involved by volunteering once a quarter to bag pet food at the Humane Fort Wayne Pet Food Pantry (formerly Fort Wayne Pet Food Pantry). I have also worked alongside my fellow JH ladies to participate the last couple of years in Habitat for Humanity's Women's Build events. We will have two teams this year!

I partner with Neighborlink Fort Wayne throughout the year. Their mission is simple: Practical, neighbor-to-neighbor expressions of God's love. It’s very easy to review available projects within the Fort Wayne and surrounding community. Their team is responsive to both emails and calls and also provide project material/equipment, if needed. Learn how to get involved in your Neighborlink!

I am an assistant coach for two teams at Fort Wayne Sport Club. Those two teams are U12 Bielefeld and U14 Hamburg. I have enjoyed this experience so far; it has been a pleasure to give back to the game that has done so much for me. Especially for a club where I played at and learned so much about the sport. My favorite part about coaching is seeing the improvement in the players. Whether that being technically, tactically, or physically.

I volunteer as a pilot with Experimental Aircraft Association Chapter 2 in Fort Wayne. We introduce kids to aviation with the Young Eagles Program. Our chapter holds rallies during summer months to promote aviation in Northeast Indiana. I have flown over 300 missions and love to share my passion for flight! Visit us online.
