Breyden Products had taken their website as far as it could go on the platform it was using. Their product offering was growing and they needed a website to support that growth. Additionally it couldn't handle one major thing ... showing pricing for customers based on their pricing level.
Now the real question came in ... should they go ecommerce? After much consideration they decided to go with a website that showcased their products and pricing for logged in customers, but ultimately no ability to buy directly online. Their customers weren't asking for this and the major problem they wanted to solve was making it easy for their distributors to quote a product for the end user.
When building a new website you get a chance to "blow up" the old site. Now is the perfect time to reorganize your product categories and content. If it wasn't easy to find before, now is the time to make it easy to find. After a review of the product structure, it was time for the design and development to begin!
Showing off the products became a top priority. Cluttered links and long pages of content were replaced with a cleaner image-focused look that visually entices a user to continue their journey to the right product page.
An often forgotten page on a website is the Contact Us page. In Breyden's case, they ended up with their Contact page becoming a catch-all of information. By trimming down the information and keeping the user focused, allows a site visitor to ask a question or contact a sales team member quickly and efficiently.
