As the year draws to a close, we’re taking a moment to reflect on some of the incredible projects that made 2024 so memorable. This year was all about pushing boundaries and bringing bold ideas to life. Join us as we highlight a few of our favorite projects that showcase the passion, innovation, and teamwork that drive everything we do!
Superior Aluminum Alloys – Employee Holiday Gift
Jamie Nicholson – Sr. Account Manager
Superior Alloys approached JH looking for a gift in the $25 range. They wanted something practical and thoughtful with a focus on appealing to both recipients and their significant others. Ultimately a gift set including a whiskey glass & stemless wine glass was chosen. They selected a gift set featuring a whiskey glass and a stemless wine glass, elegantly packaged in a gift box. Both glasses were laser-etched with the client’s logo, adding a personalized touch. We were able to deliver 3 weeks before their event date, making the client very happy with their choice and experience.
Functional Devices – Super Bowl Box
Conner Bayne – Account Manager
We’re wrapping up 2024 with an exciting project for a Super Bowl party! Functional Devices created a custom box that cleverly combines its branding with a football theme. Inside, recipients will find two YETI can coolers, a game-day snack kit, and a football helmet bottle opener—perfect for enjoying the big game.
Allen County – Merch Pop-Up Shop
Miranda Haney – Project Manager
This was our first client pop-up shop we moved over to our new platform. From start to finish, it was fun playing around with the different features and learning how the system works. A huge advantage to this platform is that we can easily offer several client logos and set live inventory limits so out-of-stock items can’t be ordered. I look forward to utilizing this platform for more clients in the future!
Downtown Fort Wayne – DORA
Darren Lichtsinn – VP of Promo
Working with Downtown Fort Wayne on the DORA (Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area) initiative allowed us to channel our "local passion" into something that fueled community growth. The vibrant, full-color DORA cup has become a recognizable symbol across social media, adding excitement and visibility to the program. We’re thrilled to play a small role in supporting this unique venture, which has already sparked tremendous success for Downtown Fort Wayne. Seeing our city thrive with creative projects like this one is what makes being part of this community so meaningful.
Parkview – Employee Holiday Gift
Sarah Englert – Production Manager
(Sorry, no pictures. We can’t spoil the surprise!)
I had the pleasure of collaborating with Sr. Account Manager Jim Coughlin and the Parkview team on their holiday gift for nearly 17,000 employees. It was incredibly rewarding to develop concepts that highlighted Parkview’s unique brand while offering a gift that resonates with individuals and can be enjoyed with family and friends. Managing the logistics of an order this size—from brainstorming ideas to coordinating production and delivery—was made seamless thanks to the support of our amazing supplier partners. I’m thrilled to see this idea come to life and can’t wait to hear about the memorable moments it creates for employees and their loved ones.
SDI – Canopy Tents
Tyler Bearman – Sr. Account Manager
My favorite project this past year was producing a custom 10’ x 10’ pop-up tent for the Steel Dynamics Summer Company Picnic. It was the ideal addition to their annual event and a huge success with both the client and employees who received it. Thanks to the large order size and ample lead time before the event, we were able to utilize strategic sourcing to secure an excellent price, making it a win-win for everyone!
Coney Island – 110th Anniversary T-Shirt
Jim Coughlin – Sr. Account Manager
Coney Island celebrated its110th anniversary this year! It was time for a fresh t-shirt design, so we decided to shake things up with a t-shirt design contest here at JH! Everyone had the chance to submit their ideas and collaborate with our graphics team to bring them to life. After voting on the top three designs, the folks at Coney Island made the final call. The winning designer walked away with free coneys and a shirt featuring their creation! This project was a blast and a great way to showcase what promo is all about. Be sure to swing by Coney Island to snag one before they sell out (again)!
Kelly Bass Worms – Company Apparel
Russell Sordelet – Account Manager
This project was fun from the jump. I met with a fishing lure company looking to expand its marketing efforts through branded merchandise. I had the opportunity to work with an awesome team to find the apparel pieces and designs suitable for them. Bonus – I love bass fishing!
C. Henry Steel – Apparel
Lou Henry – Account Manager
My favorite project this year was C. Henry Steel’s embroidered crew necks. It was the first job where I felt completely confident in every step of the process. The customer came in knowing exactly what they wanted—style, brand, fabric blend—and I already had the artwork on file. Even better, the supplier had nearly ALL the color options available. Everything came together seamlessly: the order was placed, produced, and delivered on time. The customer was thrilled with both the process and me—though my super charming personality (and the fact that I’m their nephew) might have had a little something to do with it!
As we wrap up 2024, it’s clear that this year has been filled with exciting projects, creative collaborations, and memorable moments. From custom Super Bowl boxes to employee gifts for thousands, we’ve had the privilege of working on initiatives that not only showcase the power of promotional products but also highlight the dedication and teamwork that fuel our success. These projects have allowed us to push boundaries, make lasting connections, and have some fun along the way. We can’t wait to see what 2025 brings and look forward to continuing to work with our incredible clients and partners to create even more memorable experiences!
